We are an innovative, responsive organization with a high degree of ownership by everyone for the success of our clients. Our team has one objective: deliver results and ensure client success. If we do great work, the rest will follow.
Our multidisciplinary analytical team have vast experience between them, allowing us to have built a strong reputation based on the recognition that it is often the first and critical step in a chemical’s development pathway. Facilitating and influencing the subsequent biological tests, we understand the critical importance of both accuracy and timeliness in delivering these services.
Our analytical team can provide analytical dose verification on all of the studies provided by our Environmental Fate and Ecotoxicology departments. Specially trained chemists are able to develop appropriate sampling methods and typically provide same day analysis of test samples. We have vast experience in supporting dosing trials and the experimental design of a test system to ensure that the best possible dosing methods, bioavailability and preservation of test concentrations is achieved. We are also a preferred supplier of analytical chemistry support for other CRO’s and routinely offer GLP sample analysis as part of multi-site studies for field based mesocosm, residue and terrestrial ecotoxicology.
We offer a number of physiochemical studies to meet global reporting standards. Examples of these include:
We are equipped with a comprehensive suite of analytical instrumentation and a highly experienced team of chromatographic and Mass Spectrometry experts who can support a substance identification, structural elucidation and characterisation of test items including the identification of metabolites typically in support of higher tier environmental fate studies.
If you cannot find the study, you need or require a bespoke study then please do not hesitate to contact us to find out how we can help you.
All our GLP laboratories are equipped with the latest analytical instrumentation including Triple quadrupole mass spectrometers for maximum sensitivity for all molecular species in complex matrices.

Fernando has a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, and a PhD in the synthesis and characterisation of polymers for biomedical applications from University of São Paulo. Fernando worked for several years as an analytical chemist and has extensive experience in method development/method validation in a GMP/GLP environment, using HPLC-UV. HPLC-CAD, HPLC-MS, GC-FID, GC-MS, FTIR and NMR techniques. Fernando also gained experience on providing analytical chemistry support to process chemistry activities, particularly for impurity identification and fate & purge studies
David has a first class degree in Biochemistry and a PhD surrounding drug discovery from Aberystwyth University. David has experience of developing and validating methods in both GMP and GLP environments using a range of equipment (HPLC-UV, HPLC-MS, GC-MS). David also provides analytical chemistry support to a range of environmental fate and ecotoxicology studies.
Bryony graduated in 2018 with a MChem (Hons) degree in Chemistry from Cardiff University, and in this time has worked in GLP and GMP laboratory environments.
Bryony has experience in method development, compound characterisation and development of testing plans with significant experience in LC-MS, GC-MS, NMR and ICP-OES techniques. Bryony has also gained experience in accurate mass analysis of compounds and impurities, for supporting drug development projects. Bryony was appointed as a study director at Scymaris in 2021.
Tom has 10 years of experience in analytical chemistry, method development and validation, physical chemistry and environmental fate studies with extensive experience working with both radio-labelled and non-radio-labelled test compounds, using LC-MS, HPLC/UV/RAD, radio TLC and quantitative radiochemical techniques.
Tom is an experienced study director having run a large number of regulatory physical chemistry (e.g. OECD 111, 123) and environmental fate studies (e.g. OECD 106, 307, 308, 309) to support the registration of agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals and industrial chemicals under REACH.
Pete has over 30 years of analytical chemistry experience in method development, validation and analysis across multiple instrument platforms (LC-MS, GC-MS, HPLC, FTIR, UV-Vis).
He has spent a significant amount of time devoted to method development in aqueous and sediment matrices down to very low levels of detection in support of projects for pharmaceutical, agrochemical and industrial and specialty chemical clients.
Pete also has significant experience supporting longer or higher tier environmental fate studies through metabolite identification using HPLC-MS/MS (thermo LTQ/Orbitrap) and GC-MS. His experience includes acting as a study director supporting clients’ requests for work and understanding the regulations required for their studies (OECD, EPA, FDA, REACH).
Rob has over 45 years of experience in analytical chemistry at the Brixham laboratory, encompassing sample preparation and analysis across multiple technologies and instrument platforms (LC-MS, GC-MS, FTIR and UV-Vis).
He has considerable experience in the development of trace level analytical methods for aqueous and complex matrices, across a wide range of compound classes from the pharmaceutical, agrochemical and industrial and specialty chemical industries.
Rob also has significant experience in supporting higher tier ecotoxicology and environmental fate studies, including metabolite identification using high resolution LC-MS/MS and GC-MS. His experience includes supporting field studies for environmental monitoring and soil and ground water investigation. Rob has worked in the GLP environment since its inception and is a highly experienced study director, with a deep understanding of the regulations required to support client studies (OECD, EPA, FDA, REACH).
