Ecotoxicology

Richard is an ecotoxicologist with over 15 years’ experience spread over research, academia and industry. He has a PhD from Brunel University/Centre for Ecology & Hydrology in Biology and Biochemistry Research, which investigated endocrine disruption in UK fish. 

Richard has post-doctoral experience in academia working on research projects in ecotoxicology, including both in vivo and in vitro methods and the promotion of alternative tests in line with the ‘3Rs.’ Richard also has experience in regulatory ecotoxicology as a study director and likes to get hands-on with a wide range of aquatic tests following OECD and USEPA guidelines. In particular he has experience of running longer term chronic studies and designing bespoke experiments to suit individual requirements.
